Well, I've put together a proof of concept app for one of the big wigs in the company following on from a comment he made asking if it would be possible to do something with the iPhone.

It took me 2 weeks and I crammed half a text book of knowledge in that time and put something together having to set up web services on our server (something we have never used before).

I just showed him what I've done (using in app phone calls and map view and search tables etc...) and he absolutely loved it!

It was good as well as my boss was there and a couple of other dev guys. He's gone away now to think about whether to take the iPhone dev further! If so it'll be predominantly me doing the work!

Cool cool! Have you looked much into enterprise app developping and how you roll out apps within a company? It's not something I have, so I'm more intrigued than anything else. I could do it myself now, but the apple dev site sucks in IE6.
