Post subject:  Upgrading MBP HDD

If I want to upgrade my MBP's HDD will I need a SATA or SATA 2 HDD?

Also, how easy is it to migrate all my info over?

I have a time machine external HDD which is kept up to date. Will that have all my applications on it?

In the Time Machine settings I haven't added anything to the "Don't backup" list so I presume all my apps and settings will be there?

Thanks for any help!

Also I was looking at SSD drives. No particular reason but drooooooooooooooollll!

IIRC, you need the Leopard Install disc to reinstall your system from a Time Machine back up.
Have a look here - clicky - for a how-to.

I did it on my MacBook. It's incredibly simple. Even easier than a standard install if that's at all possible!

It was about four clicks lol
