I'm using 3.6 on Windows7 but had the problem in 3.5 as well. What I have are two issues which I would guess are related.
Issue 1 - All of a sudden I can't access any site, but I can do google web searches and nothing else. Rebooting will almost always solve the problem and restarting the wifi or firefox sometimes work.
Issue 2 - I can generally use the internet but often doing something such as a google web search will display results including image result suggestions, but if I choose image results I get no images, and if I select a specific image through google nothing is displayed. and yet if I go directly to the image it is displayed.
It's a pain in the arse to be frank. I've not found any useful info on the net and my best work around at the moment is to reinstall firefox when the issue appears, which is every 1-2 days atm. I have tried ie on occasion when I've been having trouble but also seem to have trouble with that, not that I have a lot of patience with it for a full test.
So I'm open to ideas, anything?
TIA

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

What are your DNS settings? Have you tried using openDNS to see if it makes a difference?

Flashblock, adblock and some AVG thingy. I''m going to disable them in turn and see what happens, starting with AVG. DNS settings, I would guess they are at a default setting.

Probably the AVG addin
Toshiba have a utility for their fingerprint reader which is automatically installed and cannot be uninstalled under Windows 7. On my machine, connected to a domain, the setting as to whether the fingerprint add-on should gets reset when I log onto another machine, then back onto the Toshiba. This causes Firefox to crash.
Annoying and the only workarounds are to disable the fingerprint reader or to use a different browser.
