I had my MBP repaired a few weeks ago for the NVidia graphics card fault.
I just realised last night that the camera isn't connected and found out today that the network port isn't recognised.
I rang up KRCS (Leeds Apple reseller) and the guy didn't apologise or anything and purely said, "Have you tried reinstalling the OS?"!
WTF! Why would I want to do that? It's just been with an engineer surely they should check that it works before returning it.

I presume going in yourself would void warranty?
I've just taken a soldering iron to my MacBook after breaking the keyboard connector... The innards aren't bad and if it doesn't void warranty, I'd reconnect them yourself.

I've had to return stuff / complain about stuff recently and what suprises me is the lack of ability for anyone to apologise. Its almost as if its an admission of guilt so they refuse to do it. On the otherhand I called BT last night and they appologised so much I started to feel bad Also I'd take the laptop back to KRCS and shove it so far up someones ass they can tatse the faulty network port. Their head office/support centre is in Nottingham I believe. You want me to give them a 'knock'

When they "fixed" my MacBook, the wireless didn't work afterwards. Turned out they just forgot to connect it, but it was annoying.

Went to the Apple Store yesterday and they told me that the camera was connected so it was probably a faulty logic board that had been put in.
As it was KRCS who had done this they told me they couldn't repair it.
Spoke to KRCS engineer today who was rude and tried to fob me off telling me the Apple store should have done it on a 90 day warranty.
Called up Apple Care and told them about it and she said that it should be done as a 90 day parts warranty but KRCS have to do it. Apple service centre isn't responsible for the repair.
I'll be talking to the KRCS branch in Leeds today and getting them to call HO. I don't want to send it away for 2 weeks as I use it for work both at home and at work. I just want KRCS to pay to get it repaired at the Mac Store where I can get it done in less than an hour instead of waiting 2 weeks for it.
Learned something new though. Never use KRCS service again.

Technically, as KRCS started the repair (if you can call it that!) they are responsible for sorting out their own mess. It's nothing to do with Apple, although it wouldn't do any harm to fire off a strongly worded email/letter to Apple Head Office in Ireland to voice your concerns over KRCS' incompetence and lack of customer service. If necessary, quote some of the others on here who have had problems with their after-sales service!
If they're bodging as many repairs as this, Apple should be made aware of it - reporting it to one of the regional Apple Stores probably isn't going to go any further up the line of command, so I'd suggest you contact Apple Head Office if you can - this is damaging their own reputation so they'll want to sort it out to your satisfaction.
Good luck with the repair (of the repair!).
BTW: Maybe you could rename the thread to "My recent KRCS repair" as it wasn't really an Apple repair?

My Recent Apple repair could still be accurate as it was an Apple product being repaired. If I get my vacuum cleaner repaired by the handyman down the road I'd call the thread My Recent Vacuum Cleaner repair. Maybe My Recent Macbook repair would be accurate in that sense then?

After a few calls between KRCS and Apple Care, Apple have said that as the part is under 90 day parts warranty they will repair it for me in a service centre which is very good as it means I don't have to send it away for a couple of weeks (as I now use it for work).
Yay +1 to Apple!

Well, I'm in the Apple Store in Meadowhall again.
I was first told the turn around time was 10 days.
Very different from the "while-u-wait" that I was told.
Next he had a look and found they had 3 displays in stock so he might be able to jump the queue and get it done by this evening.
However, they're all allocated to customers.
WTF!
Yet another wasted journey!

The top-case on my MacBook has gone again, and whilst the guys at FarPoint in Bath will happily replace it for me, they require the laptop to be there whilst they do so, and can't order the part until I've given it to them. Not being in Bath, means I've got to go at least a week with just miPod, it seems. The Guildford options are equally in-accessible during the week. (8'-()
