I've just bought an iMac to replace my deceased PPC G5 which won't even boot up anymore. I'm now wondering what to do with the G5 itself. The cost of repairing the G5 would be prohibitive as the motherboard would need replacing at the very least; there was a lot going wrong with it over the past few months.

I was just wondering if there was any company out there that might recycle/re-use it? Anybody been down this route?

You could eBay it for spares.
Personally I'd put the aluminium door on a wall. (8+)

There's certainly a small market for the cases.
Maybe get in touch with scrumpymacs.co.uk and see if they're interested?

I've got a recycling company I use.
Let me know if you want to ship it to me (I'll pay postage & get it back from them) and I'll sort it out.
