I have finslly got my NAS drive accesible from my Win 7 PC. There was a setting buried deep in the NAS drive that I needed to set.

But now I hit my next pronlem. You cannot backup a win 7 Home Premium PC to a network folder. You have to have Win7 professional or enterprose. Aaargh.!!

Any ideas on a work around folks? Perhaps use a shadow copy program and a achedulke task?

That's what I'd do, except I'd use a quick and dirty batch file to copy the files, maybe using Robocopy instead of xcopy.

Have you tried SyncToy from M$

I use that as an additional backup system and it works well (and you can schedule it as well)

OK, so all we need to do is find a half African, half Chinese, half Asian, gay, one eyed, wheelchair bound dwarf with tourettes and a lisp, and a st st stutter and we could make the best panel show ever.
