Anyone having problems with their iDisk syncing? Mine just won’t and I’ve seen a lot of complaints about it on Apple’s support forums. None of the solutions seem to be working, and this appears to be hitting Snow Leopard users.

MIne has not synced for days. I have not looked at the Apple forums. It takes forever to upload and then every morning I wake up to see that it failed. I have even stopped the larger items just in case I am hitting a ceiling of some kind.

I don't keep a local copy to sync but I've saved items to mine today without any problems.

Mine has taken forty minutes to upload only 25% so far.

How much data are you copying?

I think that it includes my iTunes.xml file which is 74Mb alone.

It turns out that overall it is 440 Mb

About 1.5 GB.

With the fact that it takes so long I have moved the start of the upload to 22.30 so it should be easier and is outside the ISP cap period. I will see how it goes tonight in the new time.

Why doesn't it sync immediately, as files are changed? :?

I found a fix which seems to have worked for me. It does entail “starting again” with your iDisk and downloading all the content, but for a couple of days, it seems to have stabilised. Follow this and you should be OK:

Quote:
1) Deactivate the iDisk sync from the MobileMe Preferences panel.
2) Restart your computer
3)From the "Go" menu, click on "Home"
4) Open the "user" library folder
5)For mac OS X 10.5 / 10.6 : please delete the "FileSync" folder.
6) Restart your computer
7) Activate the iDisk Sync.

I got this from this thread on Apple’s support lists:

Hope this helps.
