How do.

Dug out my dads old laptop that has the ultimate power of a PII 266Mhz CPU with 6GB HDD and 64mb RAM!

I haven't tinkered with linux for quite some time and just wondered if anybody has any suggestions for a lightweight distro for this monster. Ideally more user friendly than not, it'll only get hooked up to the internet and may just get used as an email backup or something.

I remember puppy linux, zenwalk and I was going to give Tinyme a shot but they've taken their ISOs down except for the RC1 of their latest version, I'd prefer a stable release TBH.

Cheers all. :D

Edit: Oh, just seen Lubuntu, may give that a go but still open to suggestions.

Edit: Scratch that it needs 128MB. Boo!

The distribution I'm thinking of is called Damn Small Linux, and is offten referred to DSL. That should do the trick.
