I'm at my dad's house messing around on his iPad and I've noticed something about the keyboard that really bugs me.
The letters on the keyboard are all uppercase all of the time! Surely with a soft keyboard it would be ridiculously easy (even beneficial) to have the letters on the keys represent the state of whether shift is pressed or not?
All other on screen keyboards I have used in the past do this and it makes it a lot easier to see what is going on with the shift key. It may just be a personal preference but it is something i would like to see.

With shift pressed it has a blue (I think) halo.
