Well, my learning is coming on very nicely (thanks to a couple of other threads) and tonight I'm going to be installing SIO2 to help with physics and collision detection.
This is the first game Idea that I have pursued to anything more than a thought and I'm really quite liking it.
The last game I wrote was in uni and it was a tron light bikes game in 2D written (not very well) in Java with my own collision detection algorithm.
Since then I have learnt a crap load about timed events and libraries and stuff.
I'm actually quite excited to see the outcome and I'll be looking for testers and feedback at some point if anyone would like to volunteer? There are a couple of areas which I need to think about first. One of which is how not to confuse the user by making gravity act in an odd direction.
(It'll be a while yet though) A couple of weeks at least before I get a very basic version together. I still need to learn how to use Blender if I'm going to use that for modelling.
