Wireless keyboard with a USB receiver, it's most recent drivers are for XP, and there's been no movement on that score at the website (as you'd imagine)

Question is, can I find a way around it? Some sort of generic driver or compatibility mode for older devices etc? :?

What happens when you plug it it, just usb device not working properly?

I've found a couple of odd things with 7 as well. For some reason the same DVD and floppy that worked fine with Vista (figure that) won't format DVDs or floppies properly. It just says it can't. Still not figured that out yet, too lazy as I just pop downstairs and do it on the Vista machine I gave to the GF.

All I know is my dad has 'tried everything' (he might be an utter cnut who I'm not even speaking to, but he has half a clue with computers at least)...

I'm certainly not gonna waste any more time on it than necessary (dumb-ass sister held onto the keyboard for two months before even trying it :x ), just hoping for a quick result if possible ;)

If he has a USB2 extension cable or hub he could try plugging in via that. I have no idea if it would work but it's something.
