it seems a few have fallen by the wayside ... Xandros the first linux distro that managed to get me on line first time Lindows i loved Lindows it just worked and the amount of easily installable software was a major attraction and it frightened the crap out of MS but things have moved on … |

Just started using Fedora 13 on my laptop, which coming from Debian Lenny is a bit of a learning curve (remembering to look for RPM's and not Debs!, using yum and not apt) although nothing that can't be figured out. Will probably put Debian back on when Squeeze launches, although I could be waiting a while for that. Tried Ubuntu 10.04 and didn't like the changes, might give Linux mint a go though. |

I used to be a huge fanboy of PCLOS, and also poor old Mepis which never gets a look in these days. But Mint has been my desktop fave for a couple of years now, and whenever I dabble with my old flames, I find the magic is gone ![]() |

Ubuntu and SUSE are the only distros. I seem to look into seriously these days. Although I do like to dabble in Mandriva on occasion, and am surprised to see that it doesn't feature on this list. |

This year I have tried Ubuntu Kubuntu Xubuntu Mint Mandriva And compared to openSUSE, they all pretty much suck. But that's because I'm a KDE fanboy. |
