Post subject:  Java - good place to start?

I applied for a Java job yesterday, but I haven't used Java for a couple of years, so looking to do some refresh work, to get back in the swing of things.

Anyone got a good site to start with, for current practices and a quick walkthrough?

Har har har, very good

I'm not sure it's good as a walkthrough, but I've always found the Really Big Index great for reference.

Thanks, I'll have a look at it today. Trouble is, they are a bit general, at first sight, "Germany"... No localisation, a bit like saying "VB Programmer, UK", no idea whether it is useful, until you get more information. ;)

They normally give locations, I think Hessen was a common place but I don't know much more than that
