I had a UPS. I bought it after a series of power cuts in this area. Because I had become accustomed to the habit of letting my G4 Cube sleep, rather than shut down overnight, the risk of brown-outs or cuts was not something I was happy to accept.

In fact, this dodgy power network influenced my decision to go laptop for my next two Mac purchases.

The UPS battery died a couple of months ago, and we've not replaced the unit. However, if I can eventually afford to buy a new desktop, I'll consider another UPS to complement it.

Not got a UPS but I should get one really.
