I love tandems, I had a shot of one from a cornish friend and I cycled alone with no back passanger, was hard work but it was funny seeing all the scum shouting at me asking for a lift etc :)

Might buy one too as theres one for sale here for a measly £650

I suggest that may be quite expensive, from what I've found out.

Sadly, John, there's nowhere hiring tandems in the MK area.

nop, the cheap and nasty ones start from £400, if youre after a decent one id suggest spending at least £2-3000 (no joke)

I'm liking the beta of IE9

Especially enjoying getting some of the vertical pixels back for actually looking at web pages with :)

The tab bar is a little short in width, but I don't tend to use more than 4 or 5 at any time, so no bother there. A quick check shows that left/right arrows appear as you open the 11th tab.

I'm not sure if you've seen this page... CLICKY LINK but there may be some information on there... also:

Is there anywhere in the city to hire a bike?
Yes, there are two places. Chaineys at Shenley Church End can be contacted on Telephone 01908 504004 and Roy Pink cycles on 01908 210688 at Newport Pagnell.

I know the question is about bikes, but they may have some information.

Obviously you might have already tried both of these in which case feel free to ignore me, but at least I tried!

Hope this helps.
