As mentioned in the FPotD thread, there was a considerable amount of snow in the vestibules of my train this morning. I think some fool left the windows open, or something equally stupid.

It's pretty cold outside but no sign of the promised snow so far.

We had -16°C yesterday morning. Along with freezing fog.

Our streets are clear and good, but at work, they haven't bought any salt - the council didn't think it would snow until January, so they didn't stock up! So the streets there are just a sheet of ice. Even the winter tyres struggle a bit.

So even German councils have the same problems planning. Nice to know. ;)

Still nothing. How much do these 'forecasters' get paid for their guesswork and Weather Warnings?

Had about 3inches snow here this morning.

Roads not too bad but gridlocked due to lorries that can't get up the hills (plus rear-wheel drive cars)!

Spent over an hour trying to get to work before I gave up - gonna have another look a bit later

After lasts night debacle, the second 3.5 hour trip home on the trot, I suffered a total sense of humour failure. I've given up and staying at home.

Must admit after seeing someone use them thinking of getting some snow socks for the car
