Lo peeps

Friday, there's a final flypast of some soon to be forgotten aircraft types at my local and I'm stuck in work. Bah!!!!

In other news - I can afford to retire (says the wife). Yippee!!!

Morning World,

I'm on holiday today and the choices of whether to get on and do tons of stuff, or do tons of nothing is a lovely situation to be in. I'm off Monday and Tuesday as well so there's plenty of scope to catch-up later if required.

Now though, there must be tea, and possibly a pipe 8-)

Morning all.
I got some encouraging news yesterday.
Thanks to the very many brilliant people I have in my network of friends, my CV fell in to the hands of a company in London that's looking to fill an IT position.
I called them and (aside from a face-to-face meeting) they all but offered me the job.
They liked my CV, they liked my experience and we got on well on the phone.
The only snag is the money's not great.
There's a three month probationary period, after which the pay goes up, but even then it's not great.
So, I'm mulling things over. Looking for suitable places to live for not very much money - there seems to be quite a few house shares available.
Should I accept then I'm probably going to have to line up a few viewings and go over to London for a weekend.
It's all a little scary just how quickly this has happened, and I don't have a whole lot of time to work out what to do.
If I can't find somewhere with parking I may have to sell my car. (8+(

I guess I now have to call my solicitor to find out what I should do regarding the house problem.

Mark

How come I can drink litres of strong tea with only a tiny dash of milk, and yet when I drink one mug of black tea (ran out of milk) I throw up? :(
I should have known better as it has happened a few times before, but I was hoping that a 5 year plus gap since the last time would have seen a difference in my constitution.

Morning all.

Transporting a large bookcase from my friends house to mine this afternoon. I do hope I don't knacker my back in the process as it went a bit funny during the week :?

Anyway, at least it's not raining.

Have a great day folks.

Does this January/2011 feel weird to anyone else?

There was an Indiana Jones film on BBC1 the other night and it wasn't a bank holiday or anything, I've already had a day off work, things are generally going well... Maybe I'm just suspicious

Just back from a jaunt to Aberdeen to say cheerio to my mate who is departing for the sunny shores of Holland next week. Inherited a JVC surround sound system complete with DVD player from him so that should keep me quiet tomorrow plugging and routing cables :D
