Has anyone here ever ordered a spare cable 'just in case'? It's for my MP3 player... is that normal? :( ;)

Define 'spare'. I've bought plenty of duplicate cables so I could have one at home and one at work for charging stuff & etc.

Well, that's what I'll be using it for mostly, but I was thinking more 'What if I lose the bloody thing?' (the original)...

I always wait until I lose it, curse for an hour, then order a replacement on eBay!

+1. I don't think I've bought something pre-emptively. I tend to buy if I need the same cable for work or the same cable for another device.

I have to say at this point though, I seem to have about 5 of every cable I might ever actually need anyway. Got drawers full of 'em...

Not quite drawers but I have one drawer and have three or four of each type of USB cable: A-A, A-B, normal USB, mini-USB, micro-USB, nano-USB*. These have come from various devices, some of which use the same cable.

I have bought extras for so I do not have to dive behind the back of my iMac to plug something in.

You wouldn't be dead from the rapture, it's the fight vs the underworld that will kill you ;)

Only the lucky ones are raptured and ascend to heaven

Just passed my MCITP: Server Administrator exam.

A tad trickier than I thought it would be (50 questions + case studies) but did a 3.5 hour exam in 45 mins so can't grumble too much.

Well how many have actually disappeared. 144,000 is the number so most American super religous will not be saved. No politicians being raptured? Oops that means they are going to hell along with the rest of us.
