At Uni we were told that, technically, the Unversity owns the rights to any work produced on site or as part of the course. So work we did could be used for University business, the would be restriction on other commercial uses of our work (so flogging a photo to a glossy magazine could be frowned on). I said "technically" - after all we we using their premises, equipment, materials etc., not to mention access to experts. In reality, I don't think they bothered too much. A student getting exposure for good work would reflect better if a fuss over copyright didn't happen. So, the correct answer is C.) Enjoy the exposure. Regardless of what you think, they can do what they like, and it's a Big Bad World out there, getting that kind of adulation is much harder out there. It's a good feeling have your work taken and used. I remember a first year project was to design a logo and corporate identity for the Design Faculty. Mine was chosen for the end of year show for that year - so all of a sudden I was organising labels over 3 years worth of 5 courses. That was a buzz in my fist year. Some courses were still using them when I finished my course a few years on.

Paul, you are entirely correct. I'm a little stumped as to what prompted the student's actions. Yes, we should have informed them what was going to happen. Equally, they should've come to us to enquire what was going on. The student in question is mind-bendingly arrogant at times though, so there we are.

No need for help there. Unless it's the cash to buy one!

Trolling a dating website....funny or offensive?Guy joins a dating website, contacts girls and offers to do a drawing of them. What they get may not be what they expected. Many more here, but be warned some (or all) of them may be seen as offensive.

Was in work, idly thinking to myself "If I sold the Camaro for £4k, what else could I buy." You'd be surprised. An M3, 840ci, Porsche 944 Lux, Datsun 260Z, Cadillac Seville STS with 20k miles on it (not due a service for another 80k), TVR Tamsin... all manner of fun toys.

I can't work out if that's supposed to be 'stun gun' or 'spud gun'. I can't imagine what a 'sun gun' might actually be. Jon
