curious about something (yet again) to put longish story short im going to foreign England to go to a wedding, which I will be very nervous especially these days as my confidence is at a record low. Very close to the city im going to I know of an Indian girl Ive spoke to for about five years which is scary and unusual how we haven't naturally "e-drifted away" due to never have met in person. "met" her online roughly 5 years ago when me and my Irish friend were pissing about on bebo just talking to randomers from anywhere and just for a laugh one day we targeted Indian people and my Irish friend found an seemingly interesting Indian girl from England so he spoke to her on bebo and so did I. then irish friend moved onto other people but I got on really well with this one, so we exchanged msn's, year later exchanged mobile numbers and sometimes phoned her etc, and over the years regularly text each other. So asked if it would be cool to meetup and she agrees so this will make me nervous too. Is this kind of meetup actually normal? and anyone else on here has had a similar kinda experience? cant wait to meet her tbh.

As long as you are sensible, and she’s not really a 45 year old he, it sounds like it could be worth doing. Meet in a public place, naturally.

Here we go again... Go and meet your friend, and enjoy the wedding. Go into both situations with no expectations and have a good time, and that way you will be less likely to be disappointed, and you might even surprise yourself.

I would also add leave the memorabilia at home.

I've done this with people on this forum. It's perfectly fine, just meet in a public place and have fun.

It's not normal, she may be a psycho.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.

+1 just do not carry a weapon just in case. That might send the wrong signal.

What you want is a disguised weapon. I lugged a rather hefty tripod around London, just in case... (8-p) (@Tim: Have you ever seen me sans Tripod? eh?)

Just remember, it's probably more scary for her.

If she knows Bratty I would expect her to be carrying a concealed weapon.

She's probably a cop anyways, been tracking him for years.
