Crucial Refurbished SSDs£46 delivered for 64GB Perfect to breathe life into a laptop [edit] 30 day warranty. Still worth it IMHO, I have a two year old Crucial SSD that hasn't missed a beat.

I wonder what "refurbished" means? Given the limited write cycles, if they've already been used how do you know they aren't going to start failing in 31 days..?

That model was released, what, less than a year ago? More often than not, refurbished means customer returns. Crucial stick on a test bench, run a few scripts and then give it a clean bill of health (or not). I seriously doubt it's going to fail any time soon. I'll let you know in a month or so.

My 64GB drive arrived on Saturday morning.
Fitted it to a laptop that used to take around a minute to boot to desktop. It now takes about 30 seconds, and is much more responsive. Of course, a three year old laptop won't benefit from the full speed of the drive, but it still made a huge difference.

Well (see tails of fail) - tried to fit it and after a long argument with a screw managed to open up the HDD case and oops its an IDE and not a sata so thats bugg3red So I could (its the 64G) put it inot my main PC as a boot drive but its all set up with RAID etc so it wont be a simple image and install but a complete W7 re-install NOt sure how much appitite I ahve for that - will need to thinkabout it Could of course always put it into an enclosure and use it as a massive USB stick!

How much did it cost you?
I'm always buying SSD's for our new work PC's (mini-ITX jobs) so might be interested in buying it off you.
