So I went to the Department of Immigration this week to get some information on citizenship, I had to be home at 3...

I arrived at 12.30 queued for around 50 minutes and was then given a ticket and told to take a seat, I ended up leaving at 2.30 having still not been seen so it looks like I'll have to do it all again.

Brilliant.

I found all of the info I needed online and with a couple of phone calls. The only time I went to the office was to submit the application and take the test, and that was by appointment. The test was hilarious, completed in less than 2 minutes and scored 100%.

Was it a single, multiple choice question, along of lines of:

Q. Which is the correct spelling of Australia

a. Australia
b. Austria
c. Osstrailier
d. New Jihadabad

;) :P  :etc:

Multiple choice. It was so ridiculously easy the only thing it could have been testing was language.

If one is diving so close to the limits that +/- 1% will make a difference then the error has already been made.

The M&S by the office have change the layout of their tills. Everyone was complaining about it as the new layout is backwards and makes no sense. Twats

Gah! Bought a battery off egay which turned out to be a dud. Now just bought a CPL pens, described as rarely used and unmarked, only to find tiny scratches over the front! Most of them aren't noticeable but there's one that's obvious when the filter has been rotated 90 degrees. Shows up as a white line! If it hadn't been for that, would have been a bargain.

Perhaps it's all just a subtle hint to get you to move out. ;)

It's more of a 'Fcuk everybody else, I'm an old [LIFTED]' attitude, but I know what you mean...

My old man was like that. strangely our relationship improved beyond recognition after I moved out. Its a tough decision but I recommend it, impecunity aside.

Got a letter from Scottish Power doubling my direct debit. :x This was down to the idiots massively over-estimating my gas reading! Now all sorted. I'm still going to look at alternatives.

I would never say that I had a bad relationship with my parents when I was living with them, the usual and expected conflicts etc. more so with my dad especially. But the relationship improved so much more when I moved out it was like they/I were different people.

If I have kids I'll kick them out of the nest at 5 years old and tell them to thank me for it. ;)

Royal Mail! After singing their praises in the past, they've recently been failing. An example is not dropping off a card because they couldn't deliver a parcel. Thankfully both times the parcel was tracked amd shown to be at a depot.

One sister lives up in Peterborough. She has a redelivery thing with RM whereby anything under her name is redirected from us to her. This has worked fine except I've ordered some stuff off ebay. Two items arrived same day to my address. Third item inexplicably arrives at sister's house up north.

Seriously, what's the point if things can't be delivered properly?
