1: This is probably not normal and possibly creepy? :P One of my alcoholic friends who I cant stand and avoid atm, last year he got his first ever gf and he wasn't that happy despite he whinges all the time how desperate he is for a gf but as he is a scum, he only wants to date girls for sleeping around with them as hes shallow etc. The girl he went out with was apparently a really really nice person and I wanted to meet her but they broke up due to my friends alcoholism and immaturity and hyperness. So I was gutted I didn't have the chance to meet this girl, I found out that lots of people that I know know the same girl and said to me that I would REALLY like her and how shes an ace person etc, and I didnt want to hear that as it makes me want to meet her even more, so one told me where she works in a strange town, I drive past it every week and I really want to stop by there, go to where she works like a weird stalker? and randomly talk to her etc to finally get to meet her, Is it appropiate?

2. some people on here know about the waitress I get on well with? at the theatre cafe I mentioned ages ago, as I got her birthday present last year and I said to her that ill give her a gift when the time comes as its her birthday in few weeks and she asked me when my birthday is but dunno why, I feel slight paranoid incase she feels the need to get me something back  but on birthday I would give her kiss on cheek but dunno if she'd freak or not, Is it appropiate and normal to do that on someones birthday?

3. just a weird random thought in my head came in about x404 forum user Timark  as noone has heard of he has made full recovery from that car accident? or still in any pain whatsoever so basically im just curious the progress of healing etc? so again dunno if its appropiate to ask how Mr TImark is doing regarding that or wether it wouldve been appropiate to just PM the person in question?

  :)

Mr timark(_uk) is doing okay, thank you.
He still gets some back pain and is currently in some pain in his shoulder, but ever since visiting a physiotherapist his neck pain has gone and never returned.
He still has prescription pain killers and muscle relaxants at his disposal for when his pains get a little too much and he has another doctor's appointment in a couple of weeks time.

Was I on one of my "real world" binges when this happened? :?

Also, Bratty, what Snowy said.

It wouldn't be weird if it were random, but it's not going to be "random" if you set out to speak to her now is it?

That's it.

It would be great if you could meet her in some other way, but actually looking for her might freak her out a bit depending on what you say to her.

Consider this:

"Hi, I'm David. My friends tell me you're really nice and I was looking forward to meeting you"

Now that is fine, until you add:

"so I found out what you looked like and where you worked, and then I drove here. I also know where you live and I have your mobile number. I hope we can be friends."

I suggest you wait until you can meet her in (or engineer) a more social situation. Then, rather than the "stalker" ending, you can say:

"I'm really glad you came to!"

Although, my failure rate with nice girls is over 99% so perhaps you should ignore me...

By the time you get to my age, most of the nice girls are happily married so you've lost before you start...

Plus, 90% of the nice girls I meet are through work, and I don't think it's appropriate to even try with them.

Through work; as in clients who pay the bills that pay my salary...

Seeing one tomorrow in the middle of Londinium. Boy is she hot...

Remind me?

It seems all the nice ones are taken at MY age. In fact, even the not so nice ones are taken. What is a boy to do?
