'Former Emmerdale actress Jenna-Louise Coleman has landed the role of the Time Lord's new companion in Doctor Who, the BBC has confirmed.'

I don't think I've watched an episode of Emmerdale, well, ever so I have no idea if she's any good or not.

Filming for the seventh series of the sci-fi drama started last month in Wales.

Fourteen blockbuster movie episodes will be screened, featuring "new monsters and some familiar foes".

I take it that this means 14x90 minute long episodes then. Wow. The stories had better be good.

I would expect 14 episodes, but several two/three parters.

Feature length does not a movie make.

Especially when you've taken out the few minutes used for "next time on" and "previously on" filler.
