No they had both. In fact, in a strangely Game-esque turn, I'm pretty sure Manchester had both - the Megastore on Market Street and a smaller Games shop on King Street. Both long gone now.

Originally, there were Virgin game stores. I bought my copy of Rise and Decline of the Third Reich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise_and_D ... hird_Reich) from one in London.

I never remember it being Virgin game store, there was a Virgin Megastore, but that sold games, dvds, cds and even their PAYG mobile phones (and Virgin Cola)

There was a specific games store on Oxford Street, and it’s the site of Game now. I remember Virgin had it for a while, it may have been something before that. It was full of board games from the more popular MB ranges right up to the more complex adult table top games. I think my friend got a Junta set there at the same time. About the only place you could get that game from without writing a letter to the USA.

Waste of time and money at this point. They could do with luring in their traditional customers over again, the kids and their badgered parents.

Game delisted from the Stock Exchange

Shares now worth less than a ZImbabwean dollar.
