I suppose you get what you pay for, the B&M one i got is about 1" thick, which is fine for ironing out any lumps and bumps, but real mattresses will be a lot thicker than that. Personally I don't like to feel like I'm sinking into the bed though, I've tried out my parents' proper memory foam mattress and didn't like it, felt claustrophobic!

I decided to try a thin one, because I was a little worried about the thicker ones being too hot; and, if wasn't much good we could use it for the spare bed.
Argos - £37.50 - 1" thick, standard double, with two memory foam pillows.
It isn't the second coming of Christ or anything, but it certainly makes the bed more comfortable, and I have slept better for the last two nights.

And what is your opinion of it? Do you sleep better on it? Comfy etc?

It's very comfortable and very warm. It's too warm for the summer but great in the winter. I'd recommend it. Not sure I can say I sleep better but it does make the bed a lot more cosy to get in to.

Well I decided to get one. The best bit was that it was machine washable so can do that when necessary rather than send it to dry cleaners. It might be better than feeling the springs through the mattress.

On my (English) bed, I had both a memory foam pillow and topper. It is the worst thing ever, you just never want to get up in the mornings, i did not buy high end memory foam products, mine are both from the factory shop but are still awesome, they just make me so snuggly i miss them

For anyone thinking of getting one, I saw some memory foam toppers in Aldi today...
Double Size: £34.99 King Size: £39.99
Looked pretty good quality for the price too.

I thought that trafficking in Russian brides wasn't allowed on eBay. Well done for ducking under the radar. Hope Svetlana is everything you hope for!

I went and got one from Ikea last weekend. 3" memory foam. Having some of the best sleep I've had since I had to give up the memory foam mattress almost 3 years ago. So far it's been a great purchase.
