I used to shop in Sainsbury's and get everything. Since the recession I'm going to 2-3 shops weekly. I try and get a couple of bits of meat from the butchers, maybe a roast and some chops or mince then get the rest in Sainbury's and Lidl. I'm lucky that we have 3 major supermarkets within walking distance of each other. They'e not the huge branches but usually have what we need. Occasionally I'll go to one of the bigger ones if we're a bit flush or if I want fresh fish from the fishmongers.

For too tired, read can't be arsed. Thing is, I'm a fairly lazy person, but I enjoy cooking and the resulting food, so it doesn't seem like a chore to me.
I can totally see why some people go for the easy option.

As someone who used to live entirely off ready meals, because I can only use the microwave, the options were very limited. Though I have managed to work out some solutions to that problem, I have started to make my own chilli in the slow cooker because even if I sleep it is never longer than the time the slow cooker takes. So I am eating better because of that, which is eliminating all the excess salt, sugar and additives in my diet. Though before my accident I never took more than 20 minutes to cook, unless it was for a special reason. Now that is down to under 8 minutes because of the microwave.
My shopping is now primarily ingredients and from various sources, so my food bill has fallen noticeably over time.

Seeing the beautiful sights of Norway as we spend six hours sailing through the fjord tomorrow. If I can use my camera outside without taking out a hot work permit, I'll take some pictures.

Housework, Housework, Housework! I've got 3 days off before the long weekend and I want to whip the house into shape. I've changed all the sheets and am in the process of washing it all, banging the rugs outside on the line and getting everything aired out. Feels like ages since I've been able to throw open all the windows and give the place a good blow-through. Today it's quite windy and we've got sometime rainshowers so I'm having to keep my eyes open.
I wonder if you can still buy carpet-beaters?

Food. Still upset after the incident earlier today and I didn't have breakfast or lunch. I'm not really hungry but I know if I don't eat, I won't be able to sleep. My salivary glands are struggling to remain dormant.

So much cool stuff in Forbidden Planet, so little time. Also, Foyles send bande dessinees. Sweet! my all time favourite (series not this one in particular):

I was in there on Monday. So much bigger than the old store.
