Today will be a good day for various government agencies and politicians to let slip stuff into the public domain, knowing full well the Michael Jackson‘s death will somehow be the leading headline for the next day at least.

Be vigilant, citizens!

Just popped across to the BBC Politics page to have a gander, and lo:

“Brown 'saddened' by Jackson death
Gordon Brown and David Cameron both say they are "saddened" by the death of pop legend Michael Jackson.”

EDIT:
Even on the videos list on the right we have: “Sir Mike Jackson on military rethink”

Indeed it makes you nostalgic for the days when the establishment were honest and had to have it explained that the Beatles were a "popular beat combo", rather than always trying to be 'down with the kidz'.

Thats because now days the media will jump all over any politician etc who says "actually, I dont know the guy and I dont give a toss that his dead. Does his death affect me .. no! So jog off!"
Now if a politician said that my respect for them would shoot up
Honesty gets you nowhwere in politics.
