Here too, with the odd, very short lightning flash amongst the downpour.

We've been getting our usual 'four seasons in one day' so far, truth be told.

I'm getting a "406 Not Acceptable

This request is not acceptable
Powered By LiteSpeed Web Server
LiteSpeed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site!"

error trying to post in the news thread.
Is it Peugeot related?

I forget the details, but I had something similar when my post contained something that resembled SQL. Specifically, the word "table".

Bit of a random occurance the past week..

My grandad used to restore classic cars for a hobby. He started out with a BW Beetle then went onto Alfa Spyders before Morris Minors.

One of the first Alfas he did was a right hand drive (relatively rare then) model, sold it I think about 15 years ago (for a very decent sum)

Last week, my uncle (who lives next door to my grandad), bought the very same car, for £175! Turns out the guy that bought it originally didn't take care of it and water got in and ruined the carpet and the metal rusted. He sold it to someone else who took it on as a pet project but didn't have the time and wanted a quick sale. Apparently after my uncle bought it he was getting calls from collectors to buy it as it's a very rare one now. My uncle then called up a specialist (who sourced the parts the first time), who said it was worth £2-3k in the current condition. Knowing that a decent nick one is worth about 5x that he now cant decide to make a quick few quid selling it to a collector or to restore it first :)

Sell it. Unless you're in love with it and don't mind spending a fortune in the vain hope you might make some of the expense back.
Very few cars are worth the cost of the restoration, so this would have to be something very special.

I'm trying to work out what I just saw. First I thought it was an advert, then I thought it was a segment on 8 out of 10 cats, then I figured it might be a new show. Then after a good few mins, it ended. Turned out to be an advert for ikea.

WTF>?!?!?!?
