A lot of anniversaries this year. The audio cassette is one. Can you do this quiz though? http://toys.usvsth3m.com/tapes/I got 6/10 The Audio Cassette replaced mini reel to reel tape players like this: Fi-Cord by hairydalek, on Flickr

I stopped using tapes in 2004. The last bastion of the cassette tape was my old car, which didn't have a CD player. At home I stopped buying tapes in the early/mid 90's when I got my first CD player.

I got 4/10 but on two occasions, pressing what was the right answer didn't work so I pressed another answer to see if there was an issue. Almost complete guesses though. Cassette tapes for me meant ZX Spectrum games and not music until I hit my teens, whereupon I used to record music off the radio to create my own playlist.

5/10 and I was undecided on two of them. Tough quiz though.

Same here. I must have used 7 or 8 of those brands. Yet could not recognise all the brands.

I managed 4 out of ten, even though I should have recognised the brand logos on some. My excuse is I used TDK almost exclusively throughout my cassette recording/playing usage. In fact, I believe I have five unopened D90s kicking around somewhere.

+1. When I did use my own cassette tapes, I always bought TDK D90.

I used to record bits of the top 40, back when dance music, Meat Loaf, The Bee Gees, Cher and rap were all in the same chart Got my first CD in '95, still have some cassettes though and the ability to play them

I still have a pack of five sealed TDK C90 tapes.

Only thing that should have been illegal was being that greedy, it would have saved this generation a lot of earache
