In that case you'll hate the extras on there.

Wondering what Tesco are up to. First I see they're advertising petrol using the Knight Rider theme tune and now I just spotted Zippy from Rainbow in another Tesco advert. Very much looks like they're targetting a specific demographic (essentially my generation) and I want to know why.

Why has LG launched a curved TV? It claims that "the entire screen surface is equidistant from the viewer's eyes" o'rly? This is like that surround sound nonsense isn't it? Where the only optimum viewing/listning position is right on that spot there *points to imaginary spot*, anywhere else it's just going to be rubbish. So there'll be no inviting people round to watch films, because YOU are the only person that'll be in optimal viewing position, and everyone else will just get the rubbish spots around the periphery.

All the reviews say the same thing as you.
They made it just because they can.

How long should brake pads last? I have a Toyota Vera 2.2 D-CAT with 170HP and automatic gearbox. It has just been in for its 50,000 mile service and they haven't changed the brake pads. When I rand up and spoke to the Manager, he said that the pads still have over 50% of their material left! And that is the original set of pads, from when I bought the car. Okay, I tend to look ahead and anticipate road conditions, but even so, on an automatic, I was expecting to replace them at 30-40,000 miles, to hear that their is so much life left in them at 50K is on the one hand great news (lower running costs), but it seems they are lasting a lot longer than I am used to...

Pads aren't scheduled for change at any given service as their use varies massively from driver to driver. I usually get 30-40k miles out of mine.

I had similar. Despite driving a "hot hatch", I still had around 90% brake life left at the three year service. I too tend to anticipate and rarely need to brake much except at junctions and when I'm hooning around.

Just had our car serviced - done 30K miles and they say they will need replacing in the next 5-8K miles. We have a ix35 so a reasonably heavy car

There are holes in the road nearby which are big enough to hide Lord Lucan’s Riding School, where Madeleine McCann is being taught to ride on Shergar.
