My shoulder, which if you are unlucky to following me on Twitter and Facebook you will know about already. It's apparently "frozen" or, as my GP puts it, I have inflamed soft tissue. So right now, I'm taking anti inflammatory drugs. It was stayed yesterday to make sure there's nothing else going on (like arthritis).

I just can't get the notion of a nasty old injection in the joint if things don't improve after any physiotherapy I'm like got have. Medical stuff bothers me greatly at the best of times, but the idea of a needle being waved in my direction puts me off just about everything.

I'm forever burying my elbow in the mattress to prop myself up to get out of bed (dumb, involuntary action), and this frequently leads to a tender shoulder blade. There's been times where I've had to use my knees to get slowly upright without undoing the overnight healing! Some of those heat patches have been good.

The fact I can't get to sleep because the German in the room next door is snoring loudly.

Does his snoring have a German accent?

Paul, if it's defintely frozen shoulder, an injection can work wonders. I've had patients try medication and physio without any improvement, and yet one jab and their symptoms resolve. Don't dismiss the idea.

I am glad that I have two microwaves. Preparing roast turkey in one and mixed veg in the other.

As I said before accupucture is a great pain relief. I now have 90% of my movement back after mine froze back in March. I took anti imflamatry pain relief for a while but found the physiotherapy a great help so stopped taking the tablets.

It's a slow process of recovery but good luck and if you have any questions let me know. What ever you do keep moving and stay as active as possible as it helps recovery.

I would say the needle is a last resort. I never considered it myself.

Going out for a meal tomorrow. It's 15 mins from workplace.
I finish work at 1830.
Meal is at 2000.
If I drove home, it's a 30 min journey home and a tad longer to the restaurant, giving me 30 mins at home.
I could wash, change and set off again.

Or I could try and kill time somehow.

What should I do?

Ditch the meal, go home, have a nice quiet night in.

Whether the paid me the correct amount this month or not.
I'll be checking my pay slip with a fine tooth comb later on.

Not an option, esp since I've already said yes. It's the bosses at work. They're bringing their partners. I don't have one but still happy to turn up.

Still debating what to do.
