Interesting. I'd have thought they'd have released it a few weeks earlier to allow plenty of time for all the toys to be sold before christmas.

Early concept designs for the Millennium Falcon. I think that the second model down is the design that was rejected by Lucas because of its similarity to Space:1999's Eagle Transporter. At least they saved the cockpit.
