For once I meant in terms of exposure other than 'Corr!'. If you believe the press, by which I mostly mean the Mail, she appeals to both men and women and has had her popularity increased by Strictly. Never mind that popularity and viewing figures are often confused... Like Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles from the One Show on, er, Daybreak.

Helen Mirren criticises British television for rising female body count http://www.theguardian.com/culture/2014 ... rder-womenA quick Google suggests that men make up two thirds of murder victims in England and Wales IRL, though not in the way which makes for a good TV show, usually (crime dramas are rarely exclusively about gangs of low-rent d1ckheads). A lot of these shows are about serial killers and they're only following the trend of our most popular imports and books. And if my workplace is anything to go by, women love them

The BBC Does 'Stargazing live' which includes contributions from some of the world's most eminent astronomers and has actually contributed to actual scientific research. Channel 4 does 'Live From Space'. has it hosted by Dermot O'Leary and the trailer is.... this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsSIcVwTeMcSomething suggests to me they may have misjudged their target market somewhat.

The Life of Rock with Brian Pern, iPlayer - if you know your English rock groups this ongoing spoof documentary is hilarious.

At least Supernatural has a tenth season coming, so this spin-off shouldn't be seen as a replacement show just yet. Mark

‘Heroes’ Returns in 2015 With ‘Heroes Reborn’! http://schmoesknow.com/heroes-returns-i ... es-reborn/Fantastic first season, then they even admitted they were scripting it on the fly. It only got to four seasons because of the 'Lost effect' IMO, 'Dear geek god, please let all this random bollocks be explained...'

I loved the first season and gave up on it part way through season two, it was so bad.
