That seems to be the lesson that Hollywood cannot learn. They take great independent, world films, through money and a star cast at it and totally ruin it...

The Hangover is essentially a remake of 'Dude, Where's My Car?' but not as good.

Thor: The Dark World - It appears to have this title because most of this appalling film is shot in the dark. For the most part it's a comedy with stilted dialogue. Whoever thought that was a good idea for a Thor film should be shot. Speaking of shots, the fight scenes look like something from a Power Rangers episode. It's got the same sorta plot too.
Challenges Iron Man 2 for worst Marvel movie yet, I'm only even finishing it because I paid £3.50 for it and there's a slim chance it'll tie into other Marvel stuff.

I at least made it to the end of Iron Man 2. Thor 2 I did not.

They refer directly to the aftermath of the movie in Agents of SHIELD.

Death Proof - Got ten minutes in already wanting to punch the three leads and there was yet another editing trick to make it look like you were watching a Grindhouse movie... Gave up.

Sorry, I just meant grindhouse as in 'old flea pit showing a scratchy film'. I don't mind the intention at all but it was being severely overused! Planet Terror I didn't mind, but it's totally forgettable. Machete had me in stitches. Machete 2 was utterly dire, as if you should be impressed by a bunch of cameos

I can't remember how Tarrantino and Rodriges movies got linked but I know Tarrantino likes to pay tribute to his favourite genres. Not seen Planet Terror yet but it's on my watch list.
