Don't think the US military have been overrun in the UK, so no broken arrow, although was Elvis ever here when he was in the army, or was he just in Germany?
The broken arrow sequence in "we were soldiers" has to be one of the most harrowing film sequences I've seen.

It is also used to denote an accident with a nuclear bomb, which will not lead to an explosion (called 2 times AFAIK, once in 1956 in England and 1966 in Spain). We've lost a nuclear missile is called 'Empty Quiver.'
