Citroën C3 Exclusive 1.4, very nice. One of the wheel bearings was replaced, otherwise it is fine. Insurance is 50% less than my previous car, I'm saving over 400€ a year just on insurance. It looks like I'll be getting over 900KM out of the tank as well (same size tank as the Verso, which got just over 600). Not bad, going diesel to petrol! Even though diesel is much cheaper than petrol, I'm still saving money there, and it costs around 200€ less in tax. :D

I've got the 1.4 Desire (56 plate) and have had it from new. Did you buy it new or pre-owned?

Also, just ordered some perfume for the wife. We've been together for 15 years, but I still can't remember which brand she buys

Are you both factoring about 300€ of repairs per year on the car?

I did pay a fair whack to get the electrics sorted out on the dammed thing but she has been behaving for a few years now so hopefully it's all better now.

Yeah, because I'm actually stupid enough to answer that question on a forum that she might read :-P

Mine is a March 2012, so the modern design, but without the face lift. It has less than 10K on the clock. It has the Zenith windscreen and Bluetooth audio, so I can play my Audible books wirelessly. The only downside is that the USB is only designed for sticks and won't charge the phone.

I had nothing but problems with the Verso - well not with the Verso, but with Toyota and the garage. The one area it did fail was the master brake cylinder. One morning I braked hard and after that there were no brakes at all! There was a design fault(?) in the cylinder which allowed excess pressure to push fluid out of thru system and into a reservoir, but didn't let it back again. Toyota replaced it free of charge, but the mechanic noted that they had changed the design. The garage forgot to put the oil cap back on after a service and by the next time they left air of pliers under the bonnet.

An 8-bay battery charger I bought would appear to be the shizzle.

My new Anker toughened glass screen protector for my iphone.
Doesn't interfere with the existing Spigen case, you honestly can't feel any difference - not sure you'd even spot it. Only small drawback is the home key is a little more recessed, but it's not really an issue.
Overall, very pleased.

Yeah, they're a clear league above any of the film based ones I've seen that inevitably get bubbles and crap stuck under them after a week.

A wood stove. That was installed this week. We had the whole chimney breast cleaned and plastered, the fireplace restored to its original configuration (it was partially bricked up with the original back boiler still in place), with the stove inside a nicely rendered fireplace and slate for the hearth. The chimney was lined and insulated, and some cap placed at the top to stop wildlife getting in.

No real flames yet - we’re waiting for the plaster and render to set fully. Then we have to run a few small firings to cure and fix the paint to the stove.

So, before - we had the backboiler and gas fire removed. This worked as the flue for the gas fire.

And after - a small test had been lit to test seals and the draw.

All done in two days. The paster is setting nicely now - in the photo it’s obviously still wet. I have to get rid of the old pipe, and fix up the skirting boards. I am scheming a mantlepiece which will not only let me stint my clock on it, but also will disguise one of the surround sound cables (which is what you see in the before photo).

We’re really pleased with this. We start painting the room this weekend.
