You know you can have her leave/die and she can still be in future episodes. Having the doctor know her fate and there's nothing that he can do could mix it up a bit. As long as there's no cop out save.

No spoilers, but this episode had both Mrs V and little Miss V hiding behind their respective hands. I approve of this Sent from my big ass Sony Xperia Z Ultra tabphonelet, using Tapatalk 4.

There seems an awful lot of Tom Baker's doctor in Peter Capaldi's.
Might be just he's the age where TB was "his" doctor

Somewhere, there is a little boy who can say that he, too, was The Doctor.

So, because I'm intrigued by Capaldi as the Doctor, I'm making the effort to watch this series. The others just didn't appeal, and to be frank, what I saw didn't do it for me. Last nights episode was a high water mark so far in the series. The 2nd and 3rd episodes were distinctly 'meh' - so that's a 50% hit rate with me so far, although that wasn't down to Capaldi, just literally everything else. I'll keep watching.

yesterday's episode was rather interesting. Is it the first time that they travel to Gallifrey?

Not counting the 50th anniversary story, in this incarnation of Who, yes.

Yes. Remember, Clara told him that he’s revisit the barn and do something heroic. Cut to the War Doctor. So, yes, Gallifrey, and by inference, the kid was the Doctor. Remember, the TARDIS was linked to Clara’s timeline, and Clara is everywhere in the Doctor’s, so she went back to where (I imagine) the “there’s something under the bed” started to bother The Doctor.

I couldn't (and still don't) remember if The War Doctor used The Moment on Gallifrey in The Day of the Doctor. Was the barn on Gallifrey then? Mark

We see the war doctor walking to the barn at the end of this episode. Or is it a different barn? or has the barn moved?

It’s OK - the Doctor doesn’t remember what he did either. Parents saying that he wouldn’t make a Timelord if he carried on like that, so he’d have to join the army instead. So, yes, the barn is on Gallifrey, but a long, long time ago (I assume that the Doctor’s age is calculated based on Gallifrey orbits from his time of birth).

The Doctor, like our invisible friend, would appear to move in mysterious ways
