Ninja Turtles - It can't even use the excuse that it's a kids movie, it's just sh1t. I actually lol'd at the opening narration Splinter's voice was so out of place. And he's not the only one... The Turtles' voices are all over the place from scene to scene, with Donatello sounding like he'd inserted his bo staff at one point. Oh, and characters endlessly say variations on 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' in a sarcastic way just so there's doubt that Michael Bay thinks you're a moron.
Robot Shredder isn't actually the worst thing in this movie, that's how bad it is.

I disagree with just about everything you've said there. Watched it and it was actually not bad. A standard "leave your brains at the door and just enjoy it for what it is" type film. Given that I had enjoyed a drink or two before watching it, and I had no preconceptions, I thought it worth watching.

Mate, you must have been hammered SpoilersA vehicle appears at the end just for merchandising purposes - that's even worse than the recent Bonds ffs. And I busted out laughing when it was revealed the Turtles were strong enough to throw shipping containers, never mind what came after. Subject matter obviously requires suspension of disbelief, but this was like a bunch of kids actually made the film for other kids. Spoilers above

Godzilla
Finally caught up with this having missed it on the big screen...and it's very much a big screen movie. Some odd casting choices here, but overall an enjoyable and atmospheric movie when you can see what's going on. It's very dark! Mind you, Godzilla is hardly in the movie at all and you often only see the aftermath of his presence.
7 out of 10

Saw the second part of The Hobbit last night, I don't remember the goblins chasing them all across Middle Earth, after they burn to death and the group escapes on eagles, goblins aren't seen again until the end of the book. And what was Legolas doing prancing around? And Sauron wasn't even mentioned in the Hobbit... In fact none of Gandalf's errands are documented by Bilbo in The Hobbit.

Exodus: Gods and Kings - Weird one this. The effects are top notch, no question, but I found that the acting and story didn't have the impact it should have because everything was incredibly unsubtle to the point I nearly laughed in a few scenes. 'Our god doesn't let us go up mountains?'.
Seriously, everything's laid on with a trowel, including some of the make-up. Couldn't recommend it myself, but I suspect it will go down a treat with the Christian crowd. In it's favour, some of the action scenes are great, but just as many are almost filler unfortunately.

Birdman is a wonderful film. Michael Keaton's character carries the film but the way he interacts with Edward Norton's character is brilliant and there's some really choice dialogue in the film. I loved the drum score too though in places it does ever-so-slightly detract from the drama playing out by the characters.
