Finally managed to nail my sister to the floor last night and got agreement on the plans for Mum's 70th Birthday. Booked it, deposit paid and have arranged for lovely M-I-L to come and stay at ours so we can go away for 3 whole nights in October!!

Also, have found the place I want to get the cake, it's taken me 3 days to remember the name!

I misread the next word as 'on' the first time I read that too.

Ordered a lens for 3-5 days delivery. Had a dispatch note emailed a few minutes ago for Parcelforce 24hr Express. Very nice people at SRS Microsystems.

This is pure win ... USS Enterprise DIY wireless access point
I have a Liberator model that I'm currently restoring (this has been an on-going project for some considerable time!) that I could do this with if I wasn't using an Apple WAP basestation.

Nah.
The refit looks way better than the original.

Got to Love retentions Depts
with Vodafone. Called them and said I was leaving - contract up
Agreed that they would increase my mins to unlimited and Data from 500mb to 3Gb (and 4G to boot) and charge me less than I am now paying after I take into account a 2 month free period

Did the same with Virgin media earlier in the year and got a reduction in price as well

Installed a new VOIP, software based telephone exchange last weekend. Everything ran smoothly and I made the handover to support today.

We had one fax machine that didn't like the analogue to VOIP hardware - I think it doesn't wait for a dial tone in automatic mode, you have to fax in manual mode, then it waits for a dial tone, before spewing out the DTMF tones.

Over 60 users, 55 headsets, 60 soft clients, 60 fax clients, 9 desktop telephones and 7 DECT units, along with an automated door system (analogue) and 2 fax machines and 2 different sites, connected with VOIP. In addition 12 smartphones with integrated telephony. And the biggest problems were 1 fax machine that won't dial automatically and the company owner, who wanted a DECT telephone and not a headset.
