I'm really enjoying "Mr Robot". It's 3 episodes into the season and looking very interesting with lots or moral ambiguity. Also Christian Slater.

The only minus point for me is that it does have a lot of mumbly dialogue overlaid with background music in the same frequency range which makes it quite difficult for me to catch everything that is being said. Luckily it's nowhere near the level of Hannibal where I find it almost impossible to decipher a good half of the dialogue in any given episode.

This lack of clarity between dialogue and the music sound track is something that appears to be creeping into a lot of modern TV programmes. I wish there was a way of altering the balance between the two for those of us who find the dialogue hard to discern.

It's not just you, the sound mix can be awful on some shows. It's especially noticeable when an entire scene is much louder than a comparitive scene in the same show!

Just finished series 1 of Penny Dreadful on the Professor's recommendation. Really first class stuff, well worth a watch.

I've actually been quietly waiting for this to happen and I'm genuinely surprised it hasn't been announced sooner than now.
The original was a brilliantly challenging and cerebral experience that I loved watching even at a very young age.
I'd love to see it again now.

It was first aired in 1979. I was 8 years old.
No, nothing to do with Joanna Lumley.
