I've no idea who she is. Or if I did, my brain has been deprived of blood flow!

Is she wearing leather dungarees? Apparently likely to be No. 1 at the weekend. Although how much that means these days I dunno...

Does she have the same expression in every photograph?

Each to his own and all that, but I'm just not seeing what you're all seeing.

I wouldn't say no. Incidentally, as irrelevant as this is in a pop singer, she cannot hit a note for toffee.

Being able to hit a high note is not the be all and end all of singing even in the classical world let alone in pop music. Her range is good rather than exceptional for a professional singer but I also think it's bass-shifted quite a bit - having heard some of her stuff plus that interview she did on the Sunday show I reckon she's a mezzo bordering on a contralto, in classification terms, so she's not going to be able to hold a high note the way a soprano would. Her voice seems to have quite a lot of power but she overdoes her vibrato which is probably going to cause her problems in the long run. Comes across quite well, is presentable, can work a pop tune well - it's a pretty good set of skills for a career in the music industry. Especially if you're prepared to collaborate as much as she obvious is.

Adele always sounded like a distressed cat to me , but then I like rock vocals, so...

That Glynne track sounds like it's got an awful lot of autotune going on, so I'm going with she has issues hitting any note, not just the high ones. For good pop vocals, Sam Brown has always been a standout example in my book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUZrOo_dAKU

Personally, I find 'over performance' utterly tedious. Mariah Carey, for example. Can't ever sing one note, must always sing five. Stop it love, your ego is showing.
Again, thinking 'range' is all that matters a singer is like thinking an artist is only good depending on how much orange paint they use.
