Girl Powered: 'Jessica Jones' Season 2 To Feature All Female Directors!
http://sciencefiction.com/2016/10/25/je ... directors/

Oh, ffs. Though maybe a bit of sideways sexism will inadvertently give this show a kick up the arse. Jones needs to get away from the trauma angle even if that's only to make a political point about the victim not being defined by the trauma - both it and Luke Cage are utterly mired in Marvel's current pathetic need to be in the middle of the storm, purely to draw in niche business alongside the geeks. It's probably well meant on the part of the writers, but it's so cack handed and overt that it comes across as the worst sort of opportunism.

By all means throw in political sideways glances, but leave the issue mallet at home ffs. In this context few give a sh1t and you're damaging an incredibly worthwhile cause, yet you could reach a massive audience by using those 13 hours to set it all out neatly.

I just know they're gonna screw this up, just like they screwed up the 2008 reboot - it had so much potential but they messed it up, even after the retooling.

Insert 'I'd put it to you...' joke here.

And how forward is this?

It's the Daily Mail, almost certainly at least 75% of it is made up. they don't even have a pap photo of them together, and I doubt very much if Harry goes very far without a photographer following him.

Daily Wail's at it again. Total non-story, but you can get something like 'fury' or 'storm' inferred or in the headline with a bunch of internet quotes. And it's not just those arseholes, there's the Express/Star, Mirror... Even worse, other arseholes will believe them.

People had problems with the presenter with one arm on CBeebies. This is because people are jerks.

It's worse than jerks - my dad said that presenter shouldn't be on kids' TV. So it goes all the way to messed-up cnuts...

Perish the thought that the little blighters might learn that a disability that has no relevance to someone doing their job isn't something to be bothered about.

IIRC there's a BBC local weather person who has one of her lower arms too. Can't remember if it's the same woman doing double shifts, ages since I've seen any CBeebies..
