That picture isn't strictly 'impartial BBC' is it?

I'm not making this up... I swear this really happened this evening.

The wife and I were in the queue at a well known card shop waiting to pay for our purchases. Immediately behind us was a lady, wearing a hijab, with a child who was playing with a noisy festive toy, which was on display.

After the child had pressed the button, and we had all listened to the very annoying song, about six times, the lady, (did I mention what she was wearing?) turned to the child and said "Stop it! If you press that again it will blow up!"

Honestly, you couldn't make it up!

Did the ploy work?

But not until it pressed it again and the person behind the counter slapped the counter, shouting BOOM.
