Hi all,

I'm looking for an open source teach collaboration / calender and contacts server solution.

I've looked at owncloud, that looked pretty good, until I got to the currently supported version, calender and contacts are no longer supported.

Sabre/DAV doesn't seem to be very active and doesn't even seem to have had bug and security fixes in the last 18 months.

Baiku, same, no apparent work for more than 18 months.

Bedework, also doesn't seem very active, it also needs Java, which I'm not overly keen on.

DAViCal, seems a little simplistic, might be workable.

I am currently by Cyrus IMAP, which has CalDAV and CardDAV add-ons. I installed it Friday evening and will look into it tomorrow.

Does anyone have any other solutions they use / know of that are well supported? Personally, I'd put in Exchange Server, but we are pretty much exclusively Linux (less than 5% of the PC and server landscape is Windows) and open source, so that is a non-starter.

Thanks for the link.

Unfortunately, that was one of the articles I found on Friday and the half are since then either abandoned or haven't had any active development (including patches) for over a year.

Evolution is a front end, it unfortunately needs a server backend for the functionality we need.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks, a much better list. I'll go through them in detail later. Zimbra looks good at first glance.

Thanks. We are currently evaluating Zimbra and Sogo.
