Just because I hate to see an empty forum. I have question. My router a netgear DG834G has taken an extreme dislike to jessops web page. All I get is time out messages/server not responding. I can get to it if I unplug the router and plug my PC (running XP SP3 and/or W7, ubuntu (8.10) directly into the cable modem. So I dont think its anything to do with my computer Any ideas? Or is my router just trying to make sure I save money? Right something is populating this part of the forum

jessops its a photography shop. I'll try that when I get home. I havent played around with setting like that since the days of my 56K modem Its just anoying that it seems to affect this one site. All the other sites I go to are perfectly fine. Online gaming is also unaffected.

As soon as I decided I wanted to go and get a DSLR then I had problems. I know its not my PC as my iphone, my laptop and eepc all have problems connecting to the main jessops site (using IE7, 8, FF3 and safari). Its just bugging me why its this one site @veato thats what a friend said I will try and play with the MTU and see what happens

What he said! Usually, MTU issues mess up multiple sites. Typically HTTPS is most effected, such as Hotmail. First question is, can you ping it? Interestingly, for me it seems to be cached at the ISP's Akamai edge servers. Which ISP do you use? In all likelihood, it's a routing issue which will fix itself.

The ISP I am on is VM. I gave up last night and went back to playing C&C3. Just too much hassle for one website. It shall remain an enigma for now but on the good side it will force me to look around for bargains
