I've been a season ticket holder pretty much consistently for 10 years, so that's easily over 200 matches, and I've never. seen. a. single. fight. So to say football fans are violent is simply wrong. You're wrong. Most people have kids with them.

On my 'row' at the Reebok stadium today, there were two blokes who had obviously brought their kids along to the game. I'd say neither were any older than maybe 3 years. One was much more interested in her gingerbread butterfly with pink icing than the game tbf.
