Despite owning a PS3, I seriously hope Sony will get sued successfully. One would hope it would send out a message to software developers that it is inappropriate to develop faulty code, especially if said code wrecks hardware.

+1, it would seem to be a case of 'Knock it out quickly, we'll patch it later'.

That's bad enough when it's a firmware update as we've seen (and who really clambers for those anyway?), but a friggin' rip-off when it's a game you've paid good money for that was obviously released before it's time
