hm with a GPU that big, its not going to be cool or cheap, even if it is fast :/

It's a 40nm part like the 5870, so it won't be that hot. It'll be more expensive, but it won't be too much more than the 5870. ATI have already played their card, so Nvidia can position Fermi for maximum impact and without pricing itself out of the market.
