Thomas Reeve, 28, was killed when a man entered the bar in Amarillo, Texas, and opened fire, before robbing the venue and customers, says a local report.

A 48-year-old man was shot in the hand and a woman sexually assaulted, says the report. A 25-year-old man has been arrested by police, it adds.

Sounds like the psyche problems are hanging out of that guy...

How awesome that somebody so troubled should be able to own a firearm. We must congratulate our American cousins on their freedom.

Texas has the most 'extreme' arms (lax) laws. You can own Rocket Launchers like SRAW and Javelin if you like as long as you only have 15 rounds in your house or something. So if they come to get you in 16 tanks, you are ******* !

When I was there I went to a pool hall with a mate. As we went in he pointed to a little sign above the door which said "50:50". What this meant was that because over 50% of their income came from alcohol sales, you couldn't carry a concealed gun even if you had a concealed gun license. You are however, perfectly entitled to walk in with your gun and get drunk if it's on display, ie in a holster on your hip/belt.
